NAO, IDI and AICC Sign an Implementation Agreement

On 15 August 2024, the National Audit Office of Malawi (NAO) took a significant step forward in promoting transparency and accountability by signing an Implementation Agreement with the African Institute of Corporate Citizenship (AICC) and the INTOSAI Development Initiative (IDI). The ceremony, held at Ufulu Gardens, marked the beginning of a collaborative effort to enhance public sector auditing and foster stronger partnerships between the NAO and civil society organizations (CSOs) in Malawi.

During the signing ceremony, the Auditor General of Malawi, Mr. Thomas Makiwa, the Director General of the INTOSAI Development Initiative (IDI), Mr. Einer Gorisen, and the CEO of the African Institute of Corporate Citizenship (AICC), Ms. Adriana Lwanda, officially sign the Implementation Agreement. This document marks the beginning of a strategic collaboration aimed at enhancing public sector auditing and governance in Malawi.
